Disclaimers and Policies
Billing:
I bill through Quickbooks. Invoices will be sent through email. Bills are due 30 days after sending. Automatic reminders will be sent 3 days prior to the bill being due, the day it is due, and 3 days after it is overdue. If the bill is still not paid, I will contact you.
Quickbooks allows for multiple methods of online payment including credit cards. If you would like to pay with cash or check, please let me know so that I can enter this manually and mark the bill as paid.
Regulations and HOAs:
I as a designer create my designs at the direction of the client. Because I do work for clients in multiple counties and municipalities, I cannot know all of the codes, government regulations, and HOA requirements for everyone. Homeowners are expected to know this information, and consider this when reading and planning to install my designs. If specific HOA requirements are provided to me, I will consider this in my plan, but it is still the responsibility of the homeowner to get the design and project approved by the HOA. I do not call 811 before designing, because that is done before installation takes place. Many of my designs are simply the first step in a client's project that may span many months. In addition, it is unknown when exactly utilities will be marked after submitting a request for them to be marked. If the client wishes me to design their yard with consideration to utilities, it is their responsibility to call 811 and have them marked before scheduling a consultation with me. The lines need to be clearly visible at the time of the consultation. White Lotus Plant Care is not responsible for damage to utility lines that may occur during planting. Companies who do installations and planting are required to call 811 to mark utility lines before any digging is done. If a significant revision to the plan is needed because of utility lines, I can help revise the plan if I am given specific information on where the lines are, and how far away plant materials need to be. Most of the time, if there are utility lines in the way, plants can just be shifted to the side a bit. Please consult your installation company.
Projects:
If we agree to start a design project, I will send you an estimate after our consultation. Once you review all documents and approve of the estimate, I will send you a bill for the down payment, if applicable. Once the design is complete, I will send you a preview of the design along with the final bill. Once the final bill is paid, I will send you the full version of the design along with all documents such as the plants list, watering guide, and any other requested documents. I offer one free revision of all of my designs. If further revisions are needed, we will discuss procedure at that time.
Services:
I offer consulting, design, and floral arrangement services. I do not offer installation or planting of any kind. I do not do maintenance of any kind (plant or otherwise), I do not do work on irrigation systems, and i do not do treatment of disease and pests. I can recommend a course of action, and I can refer you to other professionals that can administer treatment or provide services for you if necessary. I am not an arborist, I am not a pesticide applicator, I am not an irrigation tech, and I am not a landscape architect. I am a horticulturalist. If I feel that I am outside of my expertise, I will do my very best to refer you to someone who specializes in what you need if I know someone who can help. Check out my Partners page to see some of the companies I recommend.
